Jay Daniel ‘Danny’ Gokey was born 24 April 1980, is an American singer and church music director. He was the third finalist in the eighth season of “American Idol”.

Danny Gokey’s Comeback in “American Idol”

Danny Gokey’s comeback in “American Idol” stage with his album “My Best Days”. He regaled the audience with her new country sound on his hit single “My best days are ahead of me.” We especially liked “Get Away” and “I will not say goodbye.”

Danny relays his story of Randy Travis to recommend him to consider a career in the home country and said that the conversation set him on his way to Nashville. He also says that he just found out that one of the authors of my best days are ahead of me also lost his wife and wrote the song just a few months later. Danny says he locked the song without knowing the story.
